LDCs/SIDS Trust Fund beneficiaries

Since it became operational on 1 January 2014, the LDCs/SIDS Trust Fund has organized 5 Fellowship Programmes (in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019) and supported 172 delegates and fellows (104 women, 68 men), coming from 71 of the 72 LDCs/SIDS (35 from Africa, 22 from Asia & the Pacific, 14 from the Caribbean and Latin America).

  • 48th Human Rights Council Session
    16 delegates from: Benin*, Cambodia, Comoros, Gambia, Lesotho, Maldives, Mali, Mauritius, Nepal, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines*, Sudan, Suriname*, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia
  • 47th Human Rights Council Session
    3 delegates from: The Bahamas, Central African Republic and Malawi.
  • 46th Human Rights Council Session
    Due to the travel restrictions imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic, the LDCs/SIDS Trust Fund was not able to support participation of LDCs/SIDS delegates at HRC46 (February-March 2021).

  • 43rd Human Rights Council Session
    10 delegates from: Angola, Bangladesh, Barbados, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Guyana, Haiti, Maldives, Marshall Islands and Solomon Islands
    Due to the travel restrictions imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic the LDCs/SIDS Trust Fund was not able to support participation of LDCs/SIDS Delegates at HRC43 resumed session (June 2020), HRC44 (June-July 2020) and HRC45 (September- October 2020).
