Special Rapporteur on leprosy
To inform the thematic report to the General Assembly (76th session, 2021)
To prepare her first report to the General Assembly, the Special Rapporteur seeks the views and inputs of members and observer States, National Human Rights Institutions, United Nations agencies, international and regional organizations, and civil society, including non-governmental organizations, and other relevant stakeholders including persons affected by leprosy, their family members and their organizations on:
- national laws, regulations, ordinances, resolutions and policies which have discriminatory impacts on persons affected by leprosy and/or their family member;
- existing customary regulations, including tradition non-written norms, which have discriminatory impacts on persons affected by leprosy and/or their family member; and
- any measures taken to abolish or amend such discriminatory laws and norms, as well as any challenges to abolish them.
