Report of the Secretary General on the Protection of Migrants

In its resolution 68/179 the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit at its sixty-ninth session a report on the implementation of the resolution, including an analysis on the ways and means to promote and protect the rights of migrant children, particularly in the case of unaccompanied children and children separated from their families. In the aforementioned resolution, the General Assembly also requested States to adopt concrete measures to prevent the violation of the human rights of migrants while in transit, including at ports and airports, and at borders and migration checkpoints.
